Amazing discovery in Thessaloniki: an ancient statue of 320 BC found by a walker

While walking, a resident of the city of Thessaloniki realized that an amazing object was on his way, close to a trash can. A marble statue of 80 centimeters, representing a woman, was on the side of the road. The man then directly contacted the police.

New “very impressive” discovery in Pompeii

Experts estimated that this statue dates from a period between 320 and 30 before JC. Archaeologists are currently studying the object, before it is given to local authorities in order to be preserved. The police are still trying to find who throwed the statue on the side of the road. An individual was arrested, interviewed and released without being charged, reports Associated Press.
