The Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, offers mediation between Rwanda and the DRC

Turkey, very active on the African continent, proposed its mediation between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), which compete by interposed militias in the east of the DRC, announced the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“Turkey is ready to provide all the help necessary to resolve [la crise] Between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo ”assured the head of state by receiving his Rwandan counterpart, Paul Kagame, Thursday, January 23 in Ankara, according to the words reported by the official press agency Anatolia.

The movement of 23-March (M23), an armed group supported by Rwanda, faces the Congolese army in the east of the country, plagued for more than thirty years to a deadly conflict that risks, worries the organization of the United Nations (UN), to degenerate into “Regional war”.
