Drama in France: a 10-year-old skier dies in Isère

According to the regional daily Le Dauphiné Libéré, the accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. The young skier was in cardiorespiratory arrest when rescuers from the Isère high mountain gendarmerie platoon (PGHM) and a Samu doctor arrived before being resuscitated.

Her vital prognosis still compromised, she was then transported by the Civil Security helicopter to Grenoble Alpes University Hospital.

“Despite her helmet, she suffered head trauma and she died this evening (Wednesday) around 8:30 p.m.,” concluded prosecutor Vaillant, specifying that an investigation was opened for “manslaughter” and entrusted to the PGHM.
