As the eyes of the world are on Washington for Donald Trup’s inauguration, the hat his wife Melania wore to the ceremony has caught the eye.

High-profile events, such as the inauguration day of a new president, are inevitably the result of all kinds of analysis — and the outfits worn there are no exception.
Melania Trump wore a custom-made navy blue coat by American designer Adam Lippes, under which was a white shawl at the neckline, navy high heels and black leather gloves. But it was the navy blue boater-style hat by Eric Javits that she wore that sparked the most comments on social media.

Its wide brim, which completely hid the first lady’s eyes, was cumbersome to the point where her husband was unable to give her a kiss on the cheek upon her arrival in the Capitol rotunda.
-Some have quipped that this is why Melania Trump chose to wear this particular headpiece.
Internet users have pointed out the striking resemblance between the hat designed by an American designer and the one worn by the Pique-Assiette (Hamburglar), this hamburger-stealing character who is part of the McDonaldland universe.
Instead, one person compared it to the one worn by Michael Jackson in his music video for Smooth Criminal.
“Looks like Melania dressed appropriately for America’s funeral today,” one user wrote on X.
