There was good traffic and many skaters took advantage of the new refrigerated ice rink in Victoria Park, rejoiced the mayor of Quebec, who sees it as confirmation that the installation meets a need in Quebec .

They are winter visitors, but they need the right infrastructure,” added the mayor, assuring that the ice rink will remain open during the spring break.
Inauguration
The rink will be officially inaugurated on Tuesday, in the presence of several distinguished guests, including the owner, president and CEO of the Canadian Hockey Club, Geoff Molson, the president and CEO of Desjardins Movement, Guy Cormier, and Former players: Yvan Cournoyer, David Desharnais, Réjean Houle, Steve Penney and Jocelyn Thibault.
The rink was funded by a donation from the Canadiens Children’s Foundation.
“I’m super excited. The product is beautiful, rejoiced the mayor. People are proud of it and there will be five more like that in the next five years.” The one at Bon-Pasteur Park in Charlesbourg will open in December 2025 and the one near the Duberger arena is promised for 2026.
