The two men sent by the Pyongyang regime are currently being questioned by Ukrainian intelligence services.

The Ukrainian army has captured two North Korean soldiers in Russia’s Kursk region, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky announced on Saturday, and they are being questioned by intelligence services, a first since the fall deployment last of some 10,000 soldiers sent by the Pyongyang regime.

“As with all prisoners of war, these two soldiers are receiving the necessary medical assistance,” Volodimir Zelensky said on X, adding that the press will be able to question them later. Kyiv says North Korean soldiers are fighting in the Kursk region where the Ukrainian army launched an offensive last August and where it still occupies several hundred square kilometers of Russian territory.

In the process, Ukrainian special forces published images of the alleged capture of these two North Korean soldiers by agents of Tactical Group 84.
