A British prison guard has been sentenced to 15 months in prison for having an intimate relationship with an inmate who is serving a 4.5-year sentence for theft.

Linda De Sousa Abreu, married and mother of a 7-year-old girl, fell in love with Linton Weirich with whom she had sex in his cell at Wandsworth prison, in south London.

A video that has gone viral shows the young woman in action with the inmate in the cell where she slept twice during the day of June 25, according to what the “Daily Mail” reported on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old woman, born in Venezuela, who was examined by a psychiatrist, Dr. Iain Kooyman, confessed her love for her prisoner lover with whom she intended to continue her romance after her release.

“Dr Kooyman judged you to be intelligent and insightful. It is certain that you had no doubt that any form of sexual relationship was totally prohibited and that you were aware of the harm that could result from such an affair,” Judge Edmunds KC said.

But when the video showing her performing oral sex on the inmate was leaked, the prison guard decided not to return to work, attempting to flee to Spain under the pretext of a family emergency.

“I’m not coming back to work, I’ll never set foot in Wandsworth again. I’m at the airport, I have a family emergency,” the young woman announced to a night guard at the prison, according to the British media.

As she was about to board a flight to Madrid, Ms. De Sousa Abreu was stopped at the boarding gate at Heathrow Airport, the Daily Mail continued.

The judge, who took into consideration the psychiatrist’s diagnosis revealing a severe personality disorder, considered that the accused was responsible for her actions, sentencing her to 15 months of imprisonment.
