Presidential candidate of the Unity and Rally Party (PUR), Aliou Mamadou Dia has been appointed resident representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Liberia, reports the newspaper L'AS.
UNDP Resident Representative in Cameroon since April 2023, Aliou Mamadou Dia also held this position in Togo from 2019 to 2023, where he served as resident coordinator of the United Nations system for more than two years.

According to L'AS, with nearly 18 years of experience in the field of sustainable development in Africa, notably within the UNDP and other United Nations agencies, Aliou Mamadou Dia has managed large programs. As a resident representative, he led large-scale projects in support of the Togolese and Cameroonian governments for the implementation of their development plans aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Still according to the newspaper L'AS, his expertise in the coordination and management of development programs makes him a key player in the promotion of the SDGs in Africa.
