Trump appoints his intelligence adviser to the White House
Donald Trump on Saturday named the head of his social network, Devin Nunes, to an intelligence advisor position at the White House.

US President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday named Devin Nunes, who runs his social network Truth Social, to chair a White House intelligence advisory council.
“Devin will draw on his experience as former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and his key role in exposing the Russia hoax to provide me with independent assessments on the effectiveness and goodness -based on the activities of the American intelligence community,” explains Donald Trump in a press release.
Devin Nunes is a former congressman who led the intelligence committee there early in Trump’s first presidential term.

This Republican had accused the FBI of having abused its powers to spy on a manager of Donald Trump’s electoral campaign who had numerous contacts with Russia, during the investigation into Russian interference in the US presidential election. 2016.
Donald Trump specified in his press release that Devin Nunes would remain CEO of Truth Social while leading the advisory committee.
The President’s Intelligence Advisory Board (PIAB) is supposed to be an independent source on intelligence work.

Later Saturday, the president-elect announced the appointment of another of his loyalists, Ric Grenell, to a newly created position of presidential envoy for special missions.
“Ric will work in some of the hottest places on earth, including Venezuela and North Korea,” Donald Trump said on Truth Social.
Ric Grenell, 58, served as ambassador to Germany during Donald Trump’s first term, special presidential envoy for Serbia-Kosovo peace negotiations between 2019 and 2020 and acting director of US intelligence between February and May 2020 .
The appointments come two weeks after Donald Trump, who is scheduled to be sworn in as president on January 20, named Kash Patel as FBI director, replacing current director Christopher Wray.
