Joe Biden said he was “deeply troubled” by a news story that took place in Euless, Texas. A 42-year-old woman tried to drown a 3-year-old girl because she is of Palestinian and Muslim origin.

A particularly shocking act. On May 19, an argument broke out between two women around the swimming pool of an apartment building in Euless, Texas. Elizabeth Wolf, 42, allegedly asked her interlocutor – who was veiled – where she was from, before grabbing her 6-year-old son, then attempting to drown her 3-year-old daughter by holding her head under the ‘water. Luckily, the mother managed to protect her children and free the little girl, who was calling for help and “spitting water”.

Elizabeth Wolf was subsequently arrested and is being charged with attempted murder. But the case experienced a rebound in media interest on Monday June 24 following a publication by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which affirmed that this attack had been motivated by the Palestinian origins of the child and his membership in the Muslim community. According to the “New York Times”, the suspect made racist remarks towards the little girl and told her mother that she was “not American”.

Every time I open the apartment door, she runs to hide and tells me that she is afraid that the lady will come back and put her head under the water again…

The victim’s mother
