A monolith covered in mirror-like surfaces was discovered in landforms near Las Vegas. Four years ago, a similar object was found in a nearby desert, before apparitions multiplied in the United States and then around the world.
An oblong rectangle shimmering in the middle of the pebbles of Nevada. This monolith appeared in the heights overlooking Las Vegas, a demonstration witnessed by the local police, relays the American media ABC. It looks exactly like those who began appearing and disappearing inexplicably in 2020, but also more recently.
“Over the weekend, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police spotted this mysterious monolith near Glass Peak, north of the valley”, in a nature reserve explained the police on X (formerly Twitter), supporting photo.
A series in 2020 and a new appearance in March
The police say they are letting “the internet work on this mystery”, in reference to the excitement that took over social networks in 2020, when a similar monolith appeared in the middle of the desert of the neighboring state of Utah, yet another once dug straight into the ground, before disappearing a few days later.
This was just the beginning of a series: similar appearances followed in New Mexico, California and as far away as Europe, such as the Netherlands and Romania. If the series seemed to have ended in November 2020 with an appearance on the English Isle of Wight (a local artist, Tom Dunford, had finally claimed this imitation), a new manifestation was recorded in 2021 in Canada and again in March last on a hill in Wales.
The origin of the first monoliths and this new American appearance remains a mystery to the general public to this day, but still constitutes an object of fascination on the internet.
