This user fears a restriction of women's freedoms in the United States after Donald Trump's victory in the American presidential election. “Ladies, we need to start thinking about the 4B movement as women of South Korea and give America a sharp decline in the birth rate”. The post went viral on social media.

Born five years ago in South Korea, this feminist movement aims to encourage women to free themselves from traditional roles imposed by society and to avoid relationships with men to protect themselves from discrimination and violence. Its name, 4B, comes from four Korean words that begin with «bi» : Bisekeu (No sex with men), Bichulsan (no childbirth), Biyeonae (no dating) and Bihon (no marriage).

“We have to start reducing the population and the economy. There is no country to rule if birth rates start to decline. Don't give in until they start listening.”explains an American woman on X. “It’s a good time to start the 4B movement, so that men’s loneliness becomes an epidemic, since they hate women so much”says another user. On TikTok, some women even go so far as to shave their hair to “not to resemble” what society expects of them.

It didn't take long for this enthusiasm to make Trump supporters react to X. “Personally, I think this is good news and saves men from future headaches related to these crazy things”explains an X user. Another makes fun of “those ugly women” and states that “only beautiful, conservative women should breed”. “Gentlemen, in light of Trump's victory, all the ugly women have created the 4B movement, in order to punish you. As a reminder, during Donald Trump's first term, the Supreme Court revoked the Roe vs. Wade ruling, which had guaranteed abortion as a constitutional right in the United States since 1973. Since then, each State has been free to prohibit voluntary termination of pregnancy or to limit access to it.
