stars, final calls… Trump and Harris held their last meetings

This Tuesday, November 5, millions of voters are called upon to decide whether Kamala Harris or Donald Trump will win the American presidential election. As Monday night fell in the United States, the two main candidates took advantage of the last hours of the campaign to hold their final meetings.

Donald Trump promises “new heights of glory”

After a meeting in North Carolina then in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump held his final meeting in Michigan, a state considered a swing state. This is where he ended his 2016 campaign and then that of 2020.

The Republican candidate promised to “lead America and the world” towards “new heights” during his very last campaign meeting.

“With your vote tomorrow, we can solve every problem facing our country and lead America and the world to new heights of glory”he insisted.

“Every voice counts,” says Kamala Harris, surrounded by Lady Gaga and Oprah Winfrey

For her last meetings, Kamala Harris bet everything on Pennsylvania, a state which promises to be key in the election. The candidate held her last major campaign rally in Philadelphia.

“This could be one of the closest elections in history. Every voice counts and the race is not over”warned the Democratic candidate a few hours before the opening of polling stations in the United States.

“We have the opportunity to finally turn the page on a decade of political project driven by fear and division. We have had enough,” said the vice-president and Democratic candidate, without naming the person this message is targeting, her Republican rival Donald Trump.

Kamala Harris relied on the support of personalities to convince the last undecided people. Singer Lady Gaga took the stage to sing “God bless America”, as did superstar Oprah Winfrey.

In another meeting a little earlier in Pittsburgh (still in Pennsylvania), Katy Perry this time sang on stage.

A very indecisive vote

This final campaign, where many dramatic events took place, therefore ends in these swing states, which should, if we are to believe the polls, swing the election in one direction or the other. If we believe the polls, everything will be decided by just a few tens of thousands of votes, in seven so-called pivotal states.

While the country appears more fractured than ever, the outcome remains completely uncertain.
