ATF 2024: how Africa is preparing its sustainable and innovative transitions

The Africa Transition Forum (ATF 2024) will be held on October 17 and 18 in Marrakech, at the Mohammed VI Museum of Water Civilization. Organized by the International Institute for Sustainable Transition in Africa, this event stands out as a key platform for discussing economic, social and environmental transitions on the continent.

Under the theme “Supporting Transitions in Africa: The Era of Sustainable and Innovative Actions”, ATF 2024 will bring together national and international experts, government and territorial actors and representatives of civil society. This forum will highlight concrete solutions adapted to the continent’s current challenges, with the aim of strengthening resilience and inclusiveness.

The program for the first day will include an inaugural conference followed by two interactive panels. These discussions will focus, on the one hand, on the opportunities and challenges linked to transitions, and on the other hand, on the importance of collective action to support these transformations. The forum will also be marked by the presentation of innovative projects at the local level.

The second day will be devoted to the meeting of the Institute’s advisory council, responsible for finalizing the 2025-2027 strategic plan. This initiative aims to promote sustainable solutions and strengthen South-South cooperation in Africa.
