Marius Borg Høiby, son of Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, was arrested in early August for assaulting “ psychologically and physically » his ex-girlfriend.

According to the local newspaper VGthe young man’s cell phone was found broken and the SIM card was missing. That evening, his ex-girlfriend was hospitalized with a concussion after being hit in the head. Under the influence of alcohol and cocaine that day, Marius Borg Høiby was arrested and placed in prison for 30 hours.

The Norwegian newspaper specifies: “ On Sunday, August 4 at 3:37 p.m., the police contacted Høiby. Thirty-three minutes later, they arrested him and confiscated his cell phone. »

The police would protect Marius according to the country’s media. Indeed, police officers reportedly warned the young man that his name appears in an investigation into large-scale drug trafficking. The media See and Hear was even able to consult confidential documents last fall revealing that the son of the crown princess received a visit from two inspectors. They asked him to “ cease its activities », referring to his links with serious criminals and his cocaine use.
