Theft still affects many restaurants despite the means to prevent these crimes. A serial fraudster was notably arrested in Belgium last October. Because, most often, restaurateurs do not hesitate to post on social networks those who leave without paying, as was the case for an establishment in Jurbise which saw a table of 21 people flee.

According to information from the Sun, a family has become specialists in stone chipping in Wales. The parents ate and found all kinds of subterfuges to escape once it was time to pay the bill. “She said she was going to get another card from the car. We asked the boy to stay and wait for him at the restaurant. She left and 10 seconds later, the boy started running towards the car,” a restaurant testified to the British newspaper.

The couple of fraudsters would have, in total, stolen more than 1,000 euros. “They ordered the most expensive things on the menu, like steaks,” continues the aggrieved restaurant owner who rushed to report the theft to the police before posting the images from the security cameras on social networks. The police announced that they had arrested two people matching the reports, without specifying whether they were indeed the fraudulent parents.
