According to Abdoul Mbaye, president of the Alliance for Citizenship and Work (ACT) party, “work must be one of the first human rights”. It is for this reason that the former Prime Minister, leader of the ACT party, emphasizes that we must “sublimate reflection on the meaning of dignified and honest work which must be elevated to the rank of religion in its purity…”

According to the former Prime Minister, Abdoul Mbaye, “This day must above all not be a banal moment made up of beautiful speeches paved with good intentions, or usual folklore. Certainly we must celebrate the work, certainly we must welcome the developments in the long list of achievements of trade union rights and recall the grievances remaining to be satisfied. But above all we must sublimate reflection on the meaning of dignified and honest work which must be elevated to the rank of religion in its purity, in its sincerity and above all in its character as an elementary and imprescriptible human right, accessible and guaranteed to all, that whether he is an employee or not…”

In his opinion, “Work must be one of the first human rights and even more so in our skies where the social minimum cannot yet be a public charge. Through this day of May 1st, we must radically change direction in order to work on the perception but also on the effectiveness of the work to give back to our youth in particular a true and lasting hope of remaining in this country, but also to make people understand our compatriots the virtues of work, the only way to earn a living with dignity and to free oneself individually and collectively for the salvation of our nation,” said Mr. Mbaye, who specified that
“It’s a day to remember our motto: WORK, ETHICS, HOPE. »
