Check your package returns: a cat accidentally shipped to an Amazon warehouse

A Utah couple had to travel 1,500 miles to retrieve their cat from California after she was mistakenly packaged to an Amazon warehouse and slipped into a return box without her owners’ knowledge. .

“She miraculously survived without food or water for six days! His blood tests were completely normal! Even though she is much thinner, she is completely unharmed! We are impressed by all the kindness,” said little Galena’s owner, Carrie Clark, in a Facebook post, reported by NBC News.

It was on April 10 that the American woman, her partner and their two daughters realized, “devastated”, the disappearance of their indoor Siamese and Calico cat, who was not in the habit of leaving the family nest, the woman wrote.

Except that after six days of worrying, the mother received a notification informing her that her kitty’s identification chip had just been scanned in Los Angeles… more than 1,275 kilometers away of the House.

“At first I thought it was a joke,” the mother noted.

But after receiving a call from the vet, she reportedly learned that the cat had been found on April 16 in an Amazon package by one of the warehouse workers, Brandy, who allegedly took care of the cat before bringing her to a veterinarian the next day.

Miraculously, little Galena reportedly survived the transport without water or food, from the bottom of an “oversized” box the couple had shipped the previous Wednesday.

“I ran to tell my husband that Galena had been found and we collapsed realizing she must have jumped in the box,” Carrie Clark told NBC News.

The couple reportedly jumped on the first plane to California to pick up their kitty, before renting a vehicle to return home after a 12-hour drive.

“Galena provides me with enormous emotional support and has helped me overcome many health problems over the past six years,” the mother told the American media with emotion. The anxiety and stress of not knowing what had happened to him was excruciating.”
