Men’s regional match against Fontaine les Dijon:
Victoire 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-22)
Word from the coach:
Very good match for a restart. We tinkered a bit with the squad we had and it went very well, everyone was able to contribute to the victory. We were good at service and reception. Fontaine les Dijon defended our attacks well but didn’t really manage to score their points, we communicated well and we organized ourselves well on counter-attack balls. It’s a good first match with a great victory.
U18 girls match against Buxy:
Defeat 3-1 (24-26, 17-25, 22-25, 24-26)
Word from the coach:
The girls had a nice first match. After winning a close first set 26-24, they then lost the next three, but each set was closely contested. Despite the defeat, the players showed great things with good receptions and attacks.
An incident in the middle of the match slowed down the pace of both teams a little. However, the girls were able to pull themselves together and regain their game afterwards.
This first match is encouraging for our U18s, especially since many of them are new to volleyball. This promising performance suggests good progress for the coming season.
Word from the captain:
I think that for a first match we did very well. Many were new and doing very well. We had good team cohesion and we knew how to talk and communicate. I am very proud of them. We had good advice from our coach which we were able to put into practice. Thanks Alice!
U18 boys match against Lons le Saunier:
Defeat 3-1 (22-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-23)
Word from the coach:
For their first match in M18 6×6 this is very positive and promising.
Despite a reduced squad and despite some small difficulties, they were able to prevail throughout the match which was very close. Their lack of experience and communication was fatal to them.
However, they fought very well even with very complicated exchanges and managed to save the balls several times.
Women’s regional match against Fontaine les Dijon:
Defeat 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-15)
Word from the coach:
For the first match of the season away to Fontaine les Dijon with a reduced squad, the girls fought very well with a desire to play and very good team cohesion, there was defense of the reception. We missed the lack of service and aggressiveness in attack. Despite the score, it was a very good first match which is encouraging for the next ones to come.
Pre national women’s match against Besançon:
Victoire 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-21)
Word from the coach:
The girls held up well at reception even though there were 2 or 3 big waitresses in front. We were able to rotate the entire squad, and give our youngsters some playing time. We had some low moments but we didn’t panic. The victory will give us a little confidence in our new championship because we are capable of playing well. We will just have to apply ourselves a little more on the easy balls that the opponents give us.
Word from the plato m13 coach: a good first day. Good things and less good things but good humor was there! The boys finished 4th out of 4 with a high level and the girls did well with a good 7th place out of 14. Good communication for everyone. Encourage for the future!
