For nearly 3 days, dozens of streamers collected donations for the NGO Médecins Sans Frontières. This Sunday, January 19 in the evening, the verdict was in: 3.5 million euros were collected.
Of January 17 to 19took place the “Stream For Humanity” event organized by the streamer Amine (“Aminematue”, with more than 3.1 million subscribers on Twitch) with the aim of collect donations for the Médecins Sans Frontières association in four countries: Palestine, Congo, Sudan and Lebanon. Next to 3.5 million euros were collected this Sunday evening.
Accompanied by around twenty other streamers like Squeezie (19.3 million subscribers on YouTube) or even Maghla (1.08 million subscribers on YouTube), all appealed to their subscribers to collect as many donations as possible whether on YouTube or Twitch by offering non-stop lives.
The organizer specified on its website that this initiative was carried out for MSF because this NGO “maintains its autonomy thanks to private financing, which guarantees freedom of action and testimony”adding that this choice is also explained by “their experience and transparency”.
A football match
The event took place at the Jean-Bouin stadium in Paris, and web personalities set themselves challenges while appealing to the generosity of their subscribers. This charity marathon concluded with a football match, in the presence of former football stars such as former Parisian Jérémy Ménez, Gerard Piqué and Adil Rami. The match ended with a victory for the Inoxtag team against that of Amine on penalties after a draw (5-5), relays the Figaro.

The organization clarified that it is still possible to make donations despite the closure of the marathon.
