GARD France 2 opens the criminal case of Luc Tangorre on Saturday

Two shows are scheduled for Saturday from 2 p.m. on 2…

France 2 came to produce a major report in Nîmes a few months ago. The journalist and director Hélène Gautier was interested in Luc Tangorre. She filmed with her team in , but also in and the region. The two episodes of the documentaries, presented in Marie Drucker's show “Au bout de l'investigation”, will be broadcast tomorrow Saturday January 18, from 2 p.m. on France 2. The docuses are entitled “Luc Tangorre the force of denial“.

A dive into the criminal life of the serial rapist from the southern districts of Marseille in the late 70s and early 80s. A series of abuses against young women with a similar modus operandi. After months of investigation, Luc Tangorre, whose main character trait is to always deny, was arrested and then convicted in 1983 by the Assize Court of Bouches-du-Rhône. A very effective support committee managed to grant him a partial presidential pardon. Once outside in 1987 he will quickly be talked about again in the news section. He was indicted and then convicted by the Assize Court of Gard for the rape of two American tourists during the 1988 Pentecost Feria… It was the Nîmes Research section which confused the rapist of the American tourists , with a formidable investigating judge, Christian Lernould, as pilot of the case, who left his mark on the Nîmes jurisdiction forever. Rapes that Luc Tangorre contested and still contests despite the two successive criminal sanctions.

Tangorre served his sentence after his conviction at the Assises du Gard and was released in the early 2000s. He was then implicated and punished for sexual assault on minors while he was on vacation in Grau-du -King.

For almost two hours, the France 2 documentaries will dissect “the cases”, Tangorre with investigators of the time, lawyers….
