Martigues Volleyball dominated without forcing the Pôle France Avenir 3 sets to 0. A third success in a row which allows the Martéguaux to place third in the championship.
The great shape of the MVB is becoming clearer. The locals have a third victory in a row against France Avenir (3-0) and are full of confidence.
The Martégaux enter the match well by taking the first set (25-22). A set in which, despite everything, they were put in difficulty by the young France Avenir team.
Experience dominates youth
Then the MVB implemented its law. Much more powerful than their opponent, they quickly took the lead (12-6 halfway through the set). A lead which will increase over the course of the set. Experience speaks for the locals who easily won this second set 25 to 13.
The third set begins with two brilliant shots from number 13 of France Avenir with two services scored in a row. Which gives some comfort to this team which will lead 7-11 in the eighth minute of the 3rd set. But Martigues wants to go on to a second 3-0 at home and remains within reach of the Pôle France Avenir. At the 18th minute of play, the visitors led by two small points (16-18). But in the final moments, Martigues regained the upper hand and also won in this third set.
The Martégaux on the podium
But despite this valiant set from France Avenir, the Martégaux will take the upper hand and secure a third victory in a row. They are now 3rd in the championship. A good result before the trip next week to Fréjus, leader of the championship.
