“Severance”, saison 2 (Apple TV+)

After a long wait, the new episodes of this enigmatic series are far from disappointing; even without the surprise effect of the first season. A success for the return of the dystopian thriller, still supported by a stunning cast.

“Crime at the Roots”, miniseries (Netflix)

This four-episode miniseries, inspired by a true story, features a long-term investigation resolved using genetics. A thriller without much originality, but effective and unpretentious.

“The Pitt”, saison 1 (Max)

The producers of the famous medical series return, for its 30th anniversary, with a new bone-crunching drama, in real time. Led by the excellent Noah “Dr Carter” Wyle, it reflects the state of American society.

“Blue Flower”, season 2 (MyCanal)

There's the young dad, the intense guy, the one who doesn't want a condom… Carried by Enya Baroux, aka Fleur, the second season of the funny shortcom, deploys a register that is both political and intimate. We still laugh as much and new, we are also moved.

“Made in France”, saison 1 (France 2)

A deceived woman becomes the assistant to her husband's mistress in a large luxury house. The relationship between the two women, at first unexpected, seduces. But crude twists spoil the storyline.

“Goosebumps”, season 2 (Disney+)

Two high school students spend the summer with their father, a botanist obsessed with his lab plants. This new adaptation of the novels by RL Stine, with David Schwimmer (“Friends”), cultivates more terror than the previous season.

“XO, Kitty”, saison 2 (Netflix)

In the family of Lara Jean Covey, heroine of the film trilogy To all the boys I've loved (adapted from the bestselling novels by Jenny Han), I ask for her little sister: Kitty Song Covey. Main character of this sluggish spin-off, the youngest member of the Korean-American sororie decided in the first season to join a posh university in Seoul to explore her roots… and get closer to her crush, Dae. In this second season, Jessica O'Toole continues to weave a dizzying amount of insignificant micro-plots, hollow mysteries and other relational quarrels. So much so that here it is no longer a question of a love triangle, but rather of a quadrilateral, or even a hexagon… Phew, exhausting! — C.M-M.
