It was in 2003. With her powerful voice, her dancing skills and her charisma, Sofia Essaïdi had made a strong impression at the “Star Academy” castle. The young woman, aged 19 at the time, had reached the semi-final after formidable performances but had been eliminated at the gates of the final of season 3 of the TF1 talent show, which had finally was won by Elodie Frégé. 20 years later, water has flowed under the bridges. Sofia Essaïdi has become an accomplished actress recognized by her peers (we have notably seen her in the series “Aïcha”, “Les combatantes”, and in several films at the cinema. “I couldn’t find my place”
In 2023, Sofia Essaïdi returned to Tele-Leisure on the aftermath of “Star Academy”, which had been complicated to manage, largely because of his young age at the time of his participation in the show. “ I was young, I was 19 when I did “Star Ac”. Music is a passion, I couldn’t experience it as such strong suffering. I said to myself: ‘I have to stop, this doesn’t suit me “. A winning choice, given the great career that the one who became a mother in 2024 has today on the small and big screen!
A new album coming!
« [Pour la musique]I was not surrounded by people who suited me, unlike my acting career which began » she confided to Le Parisien, even if Sofia Essaïdi has not necessarily given up on music. “ Taking the microphone again, feeling the stage, the audience… I know that I am also made for that. It’s a part of me, I’m divided in two.
