Born into a family of Belarusian origin, the young woman also looks back on her childhood, marked by her dual culture: “I was a very calm person, always observing, with a lot of things that I didn’t understand. I was watching a cartoon where one of the characters lied to his mother by pretending to be sick. For me, it was a total misunderstanding! Continuing his confidences, Catherine Davyzenka also remembers his fear in front of certain stores.. “My childhood was a succession of discoveries. The first time I saw a butcher's shop, I cried for a week when I realized they were dead animals! In my mind as a child, all this was not normal.” A hyper-sensitivity that she puts today at the service of her characters, as in Becoming Karl Lagerfeld, the biopic dedicated to the great German fashion designer broadcast on Disney+, in which his short appearance did not go unnoticed, to his great surprise!
