Marianne James took advantage of this symbolic evening to pay tribute to two former candidates, Yera and Léonilde, who are going through a difficult ordeal.

With Yera, they share their fight on Instagram. In a video published on December 19, we see Léonilde, weakened but smiling, trying to dance with her husband, an IV in her arm. In the caption, Yera wrote: “Please pray, help her. We keep hoping and trying and dancing, but it's so hard to see her move less, talk less.”
