Dreamlife: Luxury and condescension

Dream life will arrive on our screens on December 18 on the Crave platform. This reality will follow six women with well-stocked wallets, plunging us into a world of luxury, slightly reminiscent of American reality TV. The Real Housewives.

Remember that among these six women is Elizabeth Chicoinewife of ex-baseball player Russell Martinas well as Isabelle Gauvin, married to the entrepreneur Luc Poirier. The show also highlights the entrepreneur Stéphanie Bélangerthe real estate broker Tatiana Londonothe life coach Sonia Zarbatany and the pediatrician Tammy Gafor.

We had the opportunity to watch the first two episodes, and believe us, you don’t want to miss this reality TV! At least, these first episodes promise to get people talking and spark lively discussions.

We immerse ourselves in a world totally removed from the life of ordinary people, an environment where money is omnipresent, whether in their clothing style, their cars or their extravagant daily life. The show also offers us a glimpse into their personal lives, alongside their children, their spouse and even their pets.

When they first met, from the first episode, it was already clear that some women were going to take up much more space than others. We think in particular of Tatianawhich borders on condescension and which seems to like to take refuge in judgment. The real estate broker seems to have many preconceived ideas, rolling her eyes several times, especially when Élisabeth talked about her role as a stay-at-home mom. Tatiana, proud to be her own boss, seems to place herself above others.

That’s not all, since, during this meeting, she made comments that were questionable to say the least, suggesting that people living in poverty were responsible for their situation.

“98% of people have the opportunity to have more in their lives, but they don’t make the right choices. It’s not like the 80s or 70s. Excuse-meit’s 2024, OK? You make good choices or you make bad choices (…) Today, with the cellphoneif you want to make money, you can. You can take a course on YouTube. But you have to make the right choice,” says Tatiana.

These statements caused a reaction from the other women on the show, who clearly opposed her assertions.

Alongside his son and through their much too staged publications on social networks, Tatiana stands out for her often too strong tone and her attitude which will probably earn her the label of “the bad guy”. But, who knows, maybe time will reveal to us a softer and more touching side of his personality.

We also follow inspiring women, like Stéphanie Bélangera design professional, a true business womanwho promises not to be tongue-tied throughout the season, but who always seems to do it with tact. She is also the proud mother of little furry animals.

You can also accompany Elizabetha very busy and involved mother. Alongside her husband, Russell Martin, we’ll see her looking for a new home in Arizona, and it’s sure to make you dream!

Your ears will undoubtedly remember the old hit Femme Like U by K.Maro, since the life coach will not fail to remind you that she is the star of this emblematic music video. She also confides that many people still stop her in the street to talk about it. Impressive, because, to be honest, we would never have recognized her!

Sonia is however dynamic and very energetic.

Our favorite, however, is undoubtedly the pediatrician Tammy.

Although French is not her first language, she makes admirable efforts to express herself in it, herself emphasizing how important she finds it. In addition, she is an inspiring woman, very devoted to sick children, working very hard. We simply love it!

Let’s not forget Isabellethe wife of Luc Poirierwho, despite living in luxury, has managed to conquer our hearts… at least for now.

Calm and simple, despite her handbags and clothes worth thousands of dollars, she doesn’t give the impression of thinking she’s above others.

Although the show is entertaining, there are some downsides. It lacks a bit of spice and memorable moments, like the well-watered and very dramatic dinners found in The Real Housewives. The first episodes are spicy just enough to continue to immerse us in this extremely rich universe, but at a certain point, if the spice does not come, the public will quickly tire of watching these six women live in extraordinary luxury.

The first two episodes will be available on December 18, on Crave, don’t miss it!
