The series Evil ends this Thursday, December 5, 2024 with the broadcast from 8:55 p.m. on Arte of the last three episodes. Should we hope for a second season? Télé-Loisirs reveals the answer!
This Thursday, December 5, 2024, Arte broadcasts the last 3 episodes of the dark and trying Swedish series Evil from 8:55 p.m. Last week, more than 360,000 spectators watched the first three parts and were undoubtedly captivated by the power of this fiction. How many will there be today? Suspense! Another suspense is underway: is a sequel planned? Tele-Leisure reveals it to you!
Evil : What does the Arte series say?
Inspired by the novel by Swedish journalist Jan Guillou, Evil takes place in the 1950s in Sweden. It all begins with the expulsion from his high school of Erik (Isac Calmroth, one of the great revelations of the series), a turbulent and troubled young man. Until then protected by his mother, he is regularly beaten by an authoritarian and violent stepfather (played by the ex-Vikings Gustaf Skarsgård). Erik is forced to join the prestigious private boarding school of Stjernsberg, a place of education for the Swedish high society. Within the establishment, Erik discovers a world frozen by an implacable hierarchy and where violence is established as a system of domination, total humiliation and organized injustice.
Evil : Will Arte’s dark and violent series have a season 2?
ATTENTION SPOILERS ! In the last minutes of the series, Marja (the brilliant Thea Sofie Loch Næss, previously seen in the series Delete Me) reads a letter from Erik, in which he writes: “We can change… But then what is ‘evil’? Maybe it’s what we reap when we don’t change, when we let someone take control of our lives until until it’s too late, when others say what we can or cannot be? Living is a choice.” This message of hope is a real breath of fresh air after 6 intense and dark episodes. And it is a perfect conclusion to this series which does not need a second season and which fortunately will not have a sequel! So enjoy the last three episodes, scheduled from 8:55 p.m. this Thursday, December 5, 2024 on Arte!
