Canal+ announces the end on December 31 of the distribution of Disney channels and Disney+ in its offers

Canal+ subscribers will be directly notified of the end of the partnership between Canal and Disney.

25 days after Disney, it is Canal+’s turn to warn its subscribers of the end of distribution of content from the big-eared firm within its offers. In a message posted on the Canal subscriber area, the group could not be clearer.

We inform you of the cessation of the distribution of the Disney Channel, Disney Channel+1, Disney Junior, National Geographic, National Geographic Wild and the Disney+ service in our offers as of December 31, 2024“, explains the Vivendi subsidiary. This information would also concern the By Canal offer, included for the Freebox Révolution, Delta and Ultra.

During the American group’s announcement at the beginning of the month, the general director of Antennas and Programs at Canal+ reacted by saying “we are not safe from meeting again one day“. Negotiations between audiovisual players can be stormy, as was the case for the distribution of Eurosport at Canal+, which ultimately resulted in a renewal of the agreement. We will have to wait until December 31 or the following days to know for sure if the distribution agreement is not renewed.
