Meet in unknown landat 9:05 p.m. on France 2
Their territory was closed to foreigners until 1989. The inhabitants of Dolpo – which literally means “the hidden country” – live in a very difficult to access region of Nepal, in the heart of the Himalayas. Raphaël de Casabianca takes actor Tomer Sisley there and they join a family of shepherds at a very special time of the year. Indeed, their village is cut off from the rest of the world during the winter and, a few weeks before the arrival of the cold, they are all preparing together for the next six months, to survive in self-sufficiency.
The duo needs six days to reach this family's village, located at an altitude of 4,800 meters, during which they will have to accustom their bodies to life in the highest mountains in the world. Between the breathtaking landscapes that surround them and the moments of sharing with the inhabitants, Tomer Sisley and Raphaël de Casabianca will discover their daily life, made difficult by life in an extreme environment, but sublimated by their solidarity and their sense of family.
Crazy Christmas markets and increasingly magical decorationsat 9:25 p.m. on TMC
Christmas is less than a month away and many cities have already put on their lights. In Montreux (Switzerland), Brussels (Belgium) and even in Alsace, this period preceding Christmas is particularly important, especially in traditional markets. How do retailers succeed, each year, in such a competitive field? Why are more and more places, like the castle of Vaux-le-Vicomte (Seineet-Marne), riding the magic of Christmas? If the tradition remains, business is never far away, especially behind the stalls and behind the scenes. In addition to giving a voice to professionals, this documentary also followed, for a month, parents who are passionate about Christmas and who are ready to do many things to please their children.
