The Team has declared its candidacy for the resumption of the C8 and NRJ12 frequencies from Arcom

Will Cyril Hanouna soon be replaced by sports programs? This is in any case the wish of the channel L'Équipe, which, according to PureMédias, wrote to the Regulatory Authority for Audiovisual and Digital Communication to apply for the resumption of the frequencies of C8 and/or NRJ 12.

As a reminder, these two channels having not obtained the reallocation of their frequencies by Arcom, they should disappear from TNT at the end of February 2025.

In an article from Friday November 22, 2024, The Parisian revealed that “to defend its candidacy, L'Équipe highlights its specificity: being the only free sports channel in the French audiovisual landscape, which has made a place for itself by focusing on competitions long shunned by paying broadcasters”.

Join the “info block”

Further, the daily which, according to PureMédias, was able to consult the letter sent to Arcom, specified that “the directors of channel 21 would not find it 'illegitimate' to join 'the info block' around the fifteenth channel, it is that is to say at the level of BFMTV and CNews”.

Finally, L'Équipe would also have highlighted its status as an independent group where most of the channels belong either to TF1, France Télévisions, M6, Canal+ or BFMTV.
