French comedian Pierre Palmade appeared weakened on Wednesday at the opening of his trial in , in the region. The actor, whose drug addiction problems have long been known, is accused of causing a serious accident last year while driving his vehicle under the influence of hard drugs. The six-month pregnant woman in the other vehicle lost her baby. Explaining that he had been sober for almost a year and a half, Pierre Palmade asked for forgiveness from the affected family when he was called to the stand. He now faces five years in prison, including two years in prison.

To mark the end of his tour, he bought a gigantic advertising billboard in Longueuil, near the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, on which we can read that these are his last shows before he “becomes mayor of Montreal”. What if it wasn’t a joke? With him, it’s difficult to differentiate the true from the false, sometimes. After all, Guy Nantel was indeed a candidate for the leadership of the Parti Québécois in 2020.
