Saturday evenings are meant to be fun on TF1. Indeed, after season 10 of The Voice Kids (won by Tim, from Lara Fabian’s team), it’s the turn of season 12 of the Star Academy to give rhythm to the box since October 12. But now, for two weeks, the Saturday bonus has been brought forward to Friday to make way for two test matches of the French rugby team. If the France/Japan of November 9 (52-12) brought together 4.53 million viewers (or 26.3% of the public), the dantesque France/New Zealand (30-29) on November 16 kept 7.27 million supporters in suspense (37.9% audience share)offering TF1 a historic record for a test match.
Star Academy 2024: premiums on Saturday or Friday, which audiences are better?
The four bonuses broadcast on Saturday evening (October 12, 19 and 26, and November 2) were seen on average by 2.72 million viewers (with an average audience share of 18.7%). On the other hand, the two bonuses broadcast on a Friday, on average, brought together 2.85 million followers (i.e. 20.7% audience share on average). Thus, if the Friday primes attracted 120,000 more viewers than those on Saturday (on average), they also display 2 points more audience share. As for the commercial target – the famous woman responsible for purchases under 50 -, here again, she is more present on Friday evening (33% of FRDA-50) than on Saturday evening (31.05% of FRDA-50 ). In short, the Friday evening box seems to smile on the students of the castle and on TF1. Especially since the previous Fridays offered more mixed audiences on the front page. On November 1, the NRJ Music Awards attracted 3.2 million viewers (or 22.6% audience share). On the other hand, the three evenings of Game Masterorchestrated by Laurent Ruquier, attracted only 2.25 million curious people (or 14.75% of the public).
Star Academy 2024: watch out, a new bonus shifted to Friday very soon!
If the next few weeks return to a normal rhythm, the Star Academy will soon be turned upside down again. In fact, there will be no bonus on Saturday December 14 but on Friday the 13th (a date that the most superstitious have already noted). The reason? The 95th Miss France election, which will take place live from Futuroscope and will designate the successor of Ève Gilles among the 30 regional Misses. An evening marked by glamor which gives TF1 stratospheric audiences every year.
