This Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 9:10 p.m., TF1 will broadcast a new episode of Koh Lanta : the cursed tribe. An event not to be missed, because at the end of this episode, fans will discover the five finalists of this 26th season. The selection will not be easy for the seven adventurers still in competition: Cécile, Charlotte, Ilyesse, Jacques, Sophia, Thibault and Ugo. Between capricious weather and a direct elimination event orchestrated by Denis Brogniart, tension will be at its height.
At the end of the test of linked destinies, an unusual problem attracted attention: hygiene in the camp. Tuesday, November 5, rats had invaded the beach from the Philippine island where the adventurers live. The reason? The bones of freshly consumed fish had not been properly discarded. This event pushed Lola Labesse, participant of Koh Lanta: The 4 Lands in 2020, to react on TikTok and share their experience.
“Don't be afraid of spiders, but be afraid of…“
“You should know that I participated in the show four or five years ago now, but I was really happy that they showed that there are rats on the island“, she confided in a video posted on November 7, 2024 on her TikTok account. A reality which, according to her, is not highlighted enough by TF1: “When people meet me, people always ask me: 'Aren't spiders and insects horrible?' In reality, in Fiji at least, we didn't have all that. There were spiders, but not where we slept by the fire. But rats were crazy“.
And to express his satisfaction: “I'm really happy they're showing it this year. They never show it in pictures. We, the rats were coming at our mouths. That is to say that during the night, I was woken up by rats running over me. It really traumatized me“, remembered the one who went as far as orientation during her season. And concluded: “There are actually a lot of things that you don't see. I think that as the seasons progress, they will show them. So happy! If you do Koh Lanta, don't be afraid of spiders but be afraid of rats!”, she concluded with the meaning of the formula.

Hygiene still precarious in the camp
This is not the first time that there have been hygiene problems in Koh Lanta, the cursed tribe. Cassandre, who was recently eliminated, spoke about this on Instagram. She explained that she had “stomach cramps, and feeling like vomiting“after having gained comfort.”My stomach was a little traumatized“, she explained. Before revealing that the candidates did not wash in the camp: “As for our hair, we don't wash it, nor our teeth, we don't wash anything at all.“Advice to those who dream of participating in Koh Lanta : you have been warned!
