The universe of The Big Bang Theory expands once again to the delight of fans of the series. While the fiction gave birth to a first spin-off, entitled Young Sheldona second has just debuted in the United States. It is about Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriagewhich was launched on October 17, 2024 on the American channel CBS. This fiction focuses on Georgie (Montana Jordan), Sheldon’s older brother, and his wife Mandy (Emily Osment), as they navigate marriage and parenthood as a young couple in Texas. However, those who have followed the other series will recognize actors, but also references. Raegan Revord, Zoe Perry and Annie Potts, the stars of Young Sheldonwill all appear in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. Chuck Lorre thus confided that the references are “independent“, comparing them to any other series that introduces members of a family. If these appearances – which, according to the creators, could also include a phone call or a holiday visit from Sheldon played by Iain Armitage in Young Sheldon – are a cherry on the cake, they underlined their desire to tell “human stories” in the new series.

However, the creators do not let this revelation block them. “We don’t know if their second marriage isn’t for each other“, said Steve Holland. This new series also has a big difference with Young Sheldon. Indeed, just as The Big Bang Theory, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is filmed in front of an audience, and not with a single camera as for Young Sheldon.
