the anime announces its final season

My Hero Academia is living his last moments. Following the manga’s conclusion in Shonen Jump magazine last August, Horikoshi’s work only has its anime to cling to, but not for much longer. Indeed, the latest issue of the Japanese weekly contained an announcement that did not go unnoticed: the final season of My Hero Academia has just made its release window official. Without much surprise, it is therefore in 2025 that the outcome of the story will take place on television.

Since the seventh season of the anime – which began last May – will broadcast its last episode this Saturday, October 12, the eighth and final season should therefore arrive on our screens during the fall of 2025. However, this is not only estimates, since the Bones studio has not announced anything other than the year of release. On paper, the end of the adventures of Midoriya and the UA students is far from unanimous. Will the television adaptation use reader feedback to try to improve the grand finale? Nothing is less certain. While waiting for this final burst of episodes, fans can nevertheless expect numerous events and other collaborations to celebrate the home stretch.

My Hero hasn’t said his last word

There is no doubt: My Hero Academia will be in the spotlight during his final months. The festivities will already begin this month of October with the arrival of an improbable crossover on Overwatch 2. With the broadcast of the last episode of season 7 this Saturday, October 12, Blizzard’s FPS is preparing to receive numerous cosmetics inspired by Horikoshi’s manga from October 17. This collaboration revealed during the Xbox conference at the Tokyo Game Show will take the same form as the One Punch Man and Cowboy Bebop events deployed in the past.

Players will be able to enjoy some free rewards to obtain through special missions, while the majority of skins will be available in the store. The Blizzard teams managed to perfectly merge the appearance of Overwatch heroes with those of My Hero Academia in order to create the following skins: Juno Ochaco, Reinhardt All Might, Tracer Midoriya, Shigaraki Reaper and Toga Kiriko.

These skins are so successful that we almost wish we saw more. Some obvious opportunities were missed, such as Junkrat Bakugo and Sojourn Mirko. Ramattra would have also been a better choice for All Might, since he is able to switch between two forms.
