The first days of cohabitation were marked by numerous connections…well only between Renaud and Muriel. Anne, who for her part has never stopped showing patience, is finally starting to become disillusioned. On the third day, the situation becomes difficult for her. While the two suitors continue to help out on the farm, Renaud decides to spend time with Murielle, leaving Anne to go on a mission alone. A decision that does not go unnoticed: “It’s complicated if he does that, I’m done“, confides Anne, visibly exhausted. She continues: “I don’t know if he realizes that it can hurt me.” Meanwhile, Renaud seems to take advantage of this moment of intimacy with Murielle, further aggravating Anne’s frustration.

When Renaud and Murielle join Anne after their little tête-à-tête, the atmosphere is icy. Anne, visibly annoyed, does not hesitate to express her dissatisfaction directly. When she asks what they did with the sheep, Renaud, in a clumsy attempt at levity, explains that Murielle took a photo with a lamb. But Anne’s response, scathing and sarcastic, is not long in coming: “That’s good, she’ll put it in her album.” Aware of the tension, Renaud tries to calm things down: “There is no ambiguity, Anne. Especially not.” However, he knows well that he has made a mistake: “I’m kind of worried because she wasn’t happy, I saw it in her eyes. I was clumsy (…) without doing it on purpose, it’s possible that I caused him a lot of pain.” Despite her apologies, Anne remains distant, muttering barely audible reproaches in her corner, even going so far as to whisper: “I don’t give a damn“, when he tries to compliment her on her work. Renaud then makes one last gesture to catch up, trying to take her in his arms for a hug. Even if Anne does not push him away, his anger is far from being appeased.
