Brittany is a land of cinema. Streaming platforms are starting to set up their cameras in the region for series. The proof with three international shoots in 2023. The series are available on the platforms this fall 2024.

The Signal in the Pays de Lorient

The Signalthe novel by Maxime Chattam was adapted into a series for Paramount +. Here is the synopsis:

By moving to the small Breton island of Kernole, the Dormeuil family hopes to make a new start. Olivia, a successful journalist, is pregnant with her second child. She put her career on hold to carry out this pregnancy and her husband Paul found a job as a doctor on the island. On the other hand, their daughter Camille is dragging her feet. At odds with her mother, whom she criticizes for having always prioritized her career, the inventive teenager with a passion for science only finds one benefit in this move: the powerful electromagnetic disturbances present on the island will perhaps allow her to prove his great theory. Camille indeed thinks that there is a link between the waves and the beyond…

“The filming of the six episodes of this fantastic thriller took place almost entirely in Morbihan, Lorient and its surroundings,” recalls Bretagne Cinéma.

Season 2 of The Walking Dead : Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol is available since September 30 on Paramount + and on AMC. It was notably filmed in Saint-Malo for four days.

The House on the island of Costaères

Since the September 20 on Apple TV +the 10 episodes of The House are available.

Filming took place mainly in Paris. But a few scenes were linked in Brittany:

The island of Costaères, the oyster farm of Beg Vilin in Plougrescant and the Château Le Brossay in Renac are part of the settings of this romantic and modern saga in the world of French haute couture.

In the cast, we find Carole Bouquet, Lambert Wilson and Amira Casar.
