In the September 11 broadcast, Cyril Hanouna and his columnist Géraldine Maillet had a very tense exchange while they were debating the Kylian Mbappé affair. Internet users were quick to react on social networks, accusing the presenter of “belittling his columnists”.

A debate on Kylian Mbappé in Don’t Touch My Post

As usual, Cyril Hanouna and his entire team were back on Wednesday, September 11 to decipher the news in the show Don’t touch my postbroadcast on C8. The famous host first wanted to pay a nice tribute to Didier Roustan, the sports journalist who unfortunately passed away at the age of 66. Cyril Hanouna knew Didier Roustan well and would have liked to say goodbye to him one last time.

The show also discussed the 50 km/h speed limit on the Paris ring road, and François Ruffin’s interview on BFM TV. Another topic was discussed and made the debates much more tense on the TPMP set. Currently, football player Kylian Mbappé claims 55 million euros in unpaid bonuses and salaries to his former club, Paris Saint-Germain. The LFP offered mediation to both parties but the Mbappé clan refused, demanding the settlement of unpaid debts.

The columnists also came to talk about Kylian Mbappé’s attitude towards Didier Deschamps whose strategy he criticized and preparation. Cyril Hanouna wanted to recall these facts but Géraldine Maillet interrupted him to say that Antoine Griezmann had also addressed reproaches to the coach of the French team.

Cyril Hanouna immediately wanted to defend Antoine Griezmann, whom he really likes. “We are here to give information, if you want to give your opinion, you go to RMC with Daniel”he told his columnist. Injured, Géraldine Maillet still wanted to stand up to the presenter. When they saw this sequence, Internet users rushed to to react on social networks. On X, we could read many reproaches addressed to Cyril Hanouna. “Let’s agree, Cyril is disrespectful, what’s the point if the exchanges are monologues?”, “What a misogynist. He’s unbearable.” or even “The humiliation of his columnists who do not agree with him is of a rare violence!”.

However, others have sought to put things into perspective and even to defend Cyril Hanouna : “It has nothing to do with the fact that she’s a woman, it’s just that she talks shit”. “I’m surprised he hasn’t already cleared it,” she smiled, happy to answer Cyril while looking at Valérie..
