In this new season of “Married at first glance”, the participants face their doubts and their past injuries. A few weeks before his marriage, Christophe, 38, sportsman of Eghezée, chose to stop the experience, preferring to listen to his concerns rather than forcing fate.
Christophe, selected for his high level of compatibility with a young woman, seemed to be an ideal candidate. But two weeks before the big day, he asked for an emergency meeting with Alexandre, one of the experts of the show.
The 38 -year -old sportsman expressed his doubts with great sincerity: “For two or three days, I have been a little between two waters. I prefer to be honest now. I’m not serene, I’m not quiet, and I try to find the words to explain what happens to me”.
Injuries from the past still present
Christophe said that his hesitation was deeply rooted in his personal history. After having experienced a relationship marked by jealousy, he admits to having consequences of this experience: “I had a relationship where jealousy took a lot of space and it made damage”.
Already during the announcement of his marriage to his cousins, Christophe seemed uncomfortable. Despite their encouragement, he confided to stay on the defensive: “I stay on my guard”. His relatives quickly perceived his discomfort. “I feel it a little detached. I guess it is wary a little because of its past”explained Michael, one of his cousins.
A few days to take a decisive step, Christophe made the decision to stop the experience. His choice, although difficult, reflects a desire not to advance in doubt or fear. For the first time in the story of “married at first glance”, perfect compatibility will not be enough to overcome concerns.
