This Tuesday, January 21, M6 broadcasts The Islandsurvivalism program in hostile environments with personalities. During this third evening for the show, the controversial Julien Cohen found himself in very bad shape during an expedition into the jungle.
A high-risk mission. Since January 7, 2025, the show The Island has come back to life on the airwaves of M6, almost seven years after the broadcast of its last season. Under the leadership of adventurer Loury Lag, ten personalities were placed on the island of Ko Tarutao, in Thailand, with a single objective: to survive for ten days in this hostile environment before reaching an extraction point. Among the castaways, a former buyer ofDeal doneJulien Cohen, who is far from being unanimous among the candidates. If the entrepreneur’s skills allowed him to become the natural leader of the group, his comments judged “misogynists” by certain candidates also earned him spats with the influencer Daniela Capone, the boxer Lucie Bertaud, or even the actor Terence Telle. But this Tuesday, January 21, the time has come for a backlash for Julien Cohen.
“I should never have come” : Julien Cohen in great difficulty in The Island on M6
While the castaways of The Islandlargely helped by Loury Lag, have established a new camp in the jungle near a water source, now comes the time to diversify the food they ingest. It must be said that, for four days, they have had nothing other than coconut to eat. Julien Cohen leads an expedition group into the jungle in search of hearts of palm. After a first fall, the entrepreneur feels unwell. “I can’t get upI lost everything in five minutes”he says as he begins to roll his eyes, motionless on the ground. If he eventually manages to get back into a sitting position, it’s time for regrets. “I should never have come”laments Julien Cohen. Enough to worry the rest of the castaways.
“This will teach him a lesson.” : collapsed in the jungle, Julien Cohen worries the candidates of The Island
“Even if he is directive, I still see him doing a lot of physical tasks. This is where we understand our physical limits. I think it will teach him a lesson”comments the sportsman Pierre-Ambroise Bosse, who accompanies him in this event. For Lucie Bertaud, it’s too much. The boxer and MMA champion decides to take out her satellite phone to urgently contact the doctors on the show broadcast on M6. Julien Cohen, for his part, is sick with vomiting. But his stomach is completely empty. “I am very, very weak and this is the first time that this has happened to me at this level”says the entrepreneur afterwards in front of the camera. Fortunately for him, the medical staff of The Island managed to get him back into shape with the help of an electrolyte drink. Julien Cohen will ultimately not be exfiltrated from the island of Ko Tarutao. “He would rather die than leave the adventure”quips Lucie Berthaud. Let’s hope that M6’s adventure game doesn’t come to that…
