Lucas, Julian and the film’s director organize auditions to find their future actors. Unfortunately, they don’t agree on the style of the characters: Lucas is looking for authenticity while Reese mainly wants commercial success… and a girl he could spend the night with! Jamie invites a young woman he likes to visit his grandfather, Dan. The latter is very surprised to see his grandson’s pretty teacher, Lauren, arrive. Haley awards first prize in the essay contest to Sam, whose essay is to be published in the school newspaper. But the principal finds it too crude and demands that Haley choose another winner. Brooke meets Missy, who will play her role in the film. After good contact, she realizes that the image that will be given of her is very caricatured. She blames Lucas for this before realizing that the instructions come from Julian.
