With the cessation of channels C8 and NJR12, the numbering of TNT channels will be turned upside down, from June 6, 2025.
From June 6, the continuous news channels BFMTV, CNews, LCI and Franceinfo will occupy numbers 13 to 16 on TNT (digital terrestrial television), and France 4 will succeed Canal+ in 4th position, announced Monday regulatory authority Arcom.
This unprecedented change in numbering results from the next shutdown on digital terrestrial television of C8 and NRJ12, decided by the same authority for the end of February. This opened the possibility of a major shake-up of the channels, which will change the habits of viewers.
“The regulator was keen to modify a limited number of channels” so as not to upset too much “the habits of viewers”, explained the president of Arcom, quoted by BFMTV.
“The objective being that viewers have simple and fluid access to the entire information offering”he added.
