Stranger Things : the filming of season 5 in pictures
On social networks, the official Netflix account waited a few days before announcing the end of filming. We learned the news this Friday, December 20. For the occasion, ten behind-the-scenes photos from the next episodes, captured during filming, were shared by the streaming platform, in order to reward fans for their wait and emotionally celebrate the end of this beautiful and long story. We find in these photos all the main and secondary characters to whom viewers have become attached, young or adult. But the youngest have grown up: the interpreters of the five protagonists, Noah Schnapp (Will), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) and Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) are now aged 20 to 23 years old!
The cult series returns to Netflix in 2025
Season 5 of Stranger Things will be released in 2025 – a priori not before this summer -, nine years after the release of season 1, unveiled in 2016. Previous seasons have allowed the Duffer Brothers series to accumulate no less than 57 nominations and win 12 awards at the prestigious Emmy Awards, the Oscars of the small screen. Eight episodes will make up the fifth season and each of them will be a real feature film, as promised by the creators of Stranger Things after the success of season 4 in 2022. The latter holds the record for the most watched season of an English-speaking series in Netflix history. Only season 1 of Squid Game had attracted more viewers a year earlier.
