The suspense is over. “Erica”, the new police event series from TF1, will be broadcast from Monday January 6 at 9:10 p.m. Adapted from the famous novels by Camilla Läckberg, this Franco-Swedish production intends to captivate viewers with a dark plot.

An author of detective novels leads a real investigation

In the lead, Julie de Bona plays Erica Faure, a successful writer of detective novels. Returning to her hometown to empty the house of her deceased parents, Erica discovers the lifeless body of her childhood friend Alexandra. Although appearances point to suicide, Erica is convinced that murder was committed. She then decides to carry out her own investigation, supported by Captain Patrick Saab, played by Grégory Fitoussi (“Engrenages”, “The Missing of the Black Forest”).

The plot is taken from three key novels by Camilla Läckberg (“The Ice Princess”, “The Preacher” and “The Stonecutter”), works already successfully adapted in Sweden. In addition to Julie de Bona and Grégory Fitoussi, viewers will discover Théo Fernandez, Maud Baecker, Hubert Delattre and Gérémy Crédeville, who each bring their sensitivity to this series of six 52-minute episodes. Directed by Frédéric Berthe and written by Julien Magnat, Sylvain Caron and Thomas Boullé, “Erica” was filmed on the Landes coast, around Hossegor.

The same week, TF1 also launches season 2 of “Panda” on Thursday January 9 at 9:10 p.m. Led by Julien Dorée, season 1 of this police comedy, broadcast from November 30 to December 14, 2023, achieved good audiences. The three broadcast evenings recorded an average of 4.67 million viewers, or 25.5% of the public over four years old, and 34.1% of the FRDA-50. “Panda” was also a hit in replay. The first episode was viewed by 1.32 million additional viewers, at the time the best score for a TF1 drama apart from “HPI”.
