A mini-series in six thirty-minute episodes to watch since November 25, “Iris” is a Canal+ creation by and with Doria Tillier. We also find Pascale Arbillot, Jeanne Balibar, François Morel and Denis Podalydès in the casting of this series where hysterics and laughter are guaranteed.
Doria Tillier is Iris, a stopper of thinking in circles who says out loud what others don’t think. While she may be publishing her first children’s novel, this schoolteacher, who refuses to subscribe to the hypocrisy and mediocrity of our time, likes to put her feet in the dish. The list of those she pushes to the limit grows every day. But ultimately, the first to suffer is Iris herself.
The series relates the romantic torments and misadventures of this thirty-something unlike any other who often does not share the same vision as her contemporaries on our time. Iris is irritating, endearing, but not mean. She refuses definitive answers based on “because that’s how it is”.

A look at the world without preconceptions
Unadapted to our times which she considers mediocre? Doria Tillier prefers to say that her character is spontaneous. “I don’t know if she’s annoyed by the times… She has more of a child’s outlook on things. A child doesn’t judge. She’s not retarded, I point out, but there is something something quite pure, quite spontaneous and without preconceptions in the way she approaches situations and encounters”, explains the actress in the Vertigo show on December 11.
As soon as Iris opens her mouth, people cringe. As the young woman questions the world with childish candor, the result is delirious and hilarious situations. Banal scenes of everyday life transformed into irresistible moments of comedy, this is the promise of the mini-series “Iris”.
