Your evening on Arte begins with the film Truman Capotea work that moves away from traditional biopics. Director Bennett Miller immerses us for nearly two hours into the complex mind of Capote, played by Philip Seymour Hoffman. He explores his obsession with the creation of the “truth novel”, a literary genre that he invented, between journalism and literature. Little by little, he comes to wish for the death of his protégé in order to complete his book. Philip Seymour Hoffman, who masterfully plays the character, received the Oscar, the Golden Globe and the Bafta for best actor in 2006.
