“Finding myself on the posts, it moves me to the core. When I talk about it, I still have trouble realizing it”confides the adventurer who is proud to have “won his bet.

Have you trained for this event?

“As a boxer, I worked a lot on my balance. Even today, I am used to brushing my teeth on tiptoes or on one foot. I don’t really fear this ordeal.”

And your comrades, Ilyesse and Thibaut, do you fear them?

“In this type of event, you never know what will happen. At first glance, I would have said that Ilyesse could win it. But, since I saw Thibaut in the sacks event, I I changed my mind. I discovered his aggressiveness, his determination. I think he’s going to be a formidable opponent.”

How did the orientation test go, which opened the doors to the posts for you?

“It was long, almost 5 hours. Things were going on in my head during that time. I gave everything to get there, I was determined. I told myself that the only thing that could stop me was to pass out.”

After finding her dagger, Ilyesse offered to help you find one too. But, you left alone. Don’t want his help?

“It annoyed me that he told me I was going to do it, that I was going to find the dagger, because I didn’t need to be told that. I knew I could do it. And , I especially didn’t want him to come searching with me because I wanted to owe the victory to me and me alone.”

What scenario do you imagine for this final?

“I think if I don’t win the posts, the boys will choose themselves. It’s a kind of male alliance. But, if I win, at this stage, I think I will choose on merit by taking with me the person who stayed on the posts the longest.”

Do you feel supported by the Belgian public?

“It’s incredible the number of messages I receive every day! I’m obviously very proud.”

Was there a before and after Koh Lanta for you ?

“Yes, of course. The emotions around Koh-Lanta are quite time-consuming. Since this adventure, my self-confidence has clearly improved. I also have new projects like the Marathon des sables, which I had postponed following to my participation in Koh-Lanta or the crossing of the Alps in August.”
