The next season of The Voice is taking shape. And the least we can say is that for this thirteenth edition, TF1 and ITV Studios France, producer of the famous TV show, promise many new features. This Wednesday, November 27, 2024, during a press conference, the first information was revealed. As Rémi Faure, director of Stream Programs for the TF1 group, announces, “The Voice makes his revolution“. And it starts with a new plateau, “a great new playground with screens all around“and a”feeling of immersion which feels good“, according to Pascal Guix, artistic producer. In short, the audience present and family rooms on the set, high up.
The Voice, season 13: New recruits among the coaches
For this season 13, production pulled out all the stops. Two figures from the program are returning, namely Vianney et Florent Pagnywho went through a difficult time due to his cancer. This edition therefore marks the return of “patron“, as the teams call it. But that’s not all, two new recruits are also expected. These are singers well known to everyone, in different registers. Viewers will therefore discover Zaz and Patricia Kaas. The first has “a personality that does not fit into any mold and that operates on instinct, on crush“, as Nikos Aliagas points out, while the second will be able to use her 30 years of career and experience in the industry to benefit young talents. All four form a team of caring coaches. “A marriage not of reason but of unreason. Everything is done freestyle but for the sole reasons which are those of music and sharing“, notes the host.
The Voice blind auditions disrupted
Another novelty, in the mechanics of the show this time. Blind auditions don’t change…well almost. As the rule dictates, each of the four coaches must constitute a team of 16 talents. It is therefore during these traditional blind auditions that they identify the different voices. A new button appears, that of the second chance. Florent Pagny, Vianney, Zaz and Patricia Kaas will each have the possibility of activating it once during the season in order to allow an unsuccessful candidate to retake the blind auditions. Enough to allow those disappointed to offer a new service. But be careful! The risk is to be failed a second time… As for the super block button, it is renewed. The principle is always the same: coaches can block a friend twice and thus prevent him from taking a talent.
The Voice 2025: The mechanics change, an added step
After the blind auditions and before the battles, there will now be a new stage, that of groups. The principle is as follows: the coaches have carte blanche to create musical paintings by forming groups of three or four talents. The goal is to offer a real show on stage, with a certain staging, a particular styling, even the instruments. At the end of this show, each coach chooses 6 talents out of the 16 on their team. Finally, it’s time for the battles, which will take place over a single evening. The candidates will be 3 per team, so 12 in total before the grand final where each coach will accompany their latest talent towards victory (or not). Throughout the tele-hook, it is the coaches who designate who must stay, except in the final where the hand is given to the viewers who vote.
