This season of Do not touch My TV broke all audience records, sometimes reaching two million viewers. Figures that prompted the channel to schedule Cyril Hanouna on weekends to increase the audiences a little more, which were quite low on Saturdays and Sundays. It was then that the show Facing Hanouna was born and the counters exploded on C8 with sometimes more than a million viewers in front of their screens on weekends. A success that is more than controlled by Arcom which has very regularly sanctioned C8 and its star presenter.
Cyril Hanouna cost C8 several million euros
For several years now, fines have been falling on C8 following several controversial sequences which took place in Do not touch My TV. Cyril Hanouna cost the channel almost 7.5 million euros! Despite everything, there is no question of sanctioning or firing Cyril Hanouna from C8. Word from Alexia Laroche-Joubert, the new director of the Banijay France group which owns H2O, the producer of TPMP. Asked by Buzz TV, the producer explained that there would be no change in the way the Do not touch My TV.
TPMP and Cyril Hanouna will still be on C8 next year
“The reality is that I like his enthusiasm, I like his way of saying out loud what some people think quietly. I find that this is an editorial promise that is very different from other programs. It is important that we also relay this message. That it be sanctioned… There is an institution that is made for that. If he gets punished, he gets punished. We take our share of responsibility for it,” she explained during this interview. Cyril Hanouna is therefore supported by his channel, but also by the management and production of Do not touch My TV.
Cyril Hanouna sanctioned again
It’s been three weeks since Cyril Hanouna handed over the airwaves TPMP. But for the star presenter of PAF, the holiday time had not yet come, since he hosted the show We walk on the head on Europe 1. But there again, he was sanctioned by Arcom. The former CSA formally notified Europe 1 for a “lack of moderation and honesty” within the show hosted by Cyril Hanouna. The “often pejorative and outrageous terms” The team’s criticisms of La France Insoumise and the NFP were particularly highlighted.
A relentless attack on Cyril Hanouna
This new sanction caused a reaction from Cyril Hanouna who spoke on Europe 1 where he declared: “Radio broadcasts that receive formal notices or that interest Arcom after two days do not exist (…) There is a real relentlessness at the level of Arcom against me personally. – and there we see it, it’s not the channel, it’s not C8, (…) I find that extremely serious. We laugh about it, but I think there is something behind it… We are not crazy. ARCOM does not impose sanctions like that at will.”
